Pain in the butt?!

Just because a muscle is tight and short does not mean that it is strong. As a Sports Therapist, I see many clients with overly tight and adhered glutes. Many tight glutes are still weak because they haven’t been trained properly, or they have been inhibited by the curse of the chair.
Even strong and properly utilized glutes are too often bound tight, which can restrict the optimal range of motion of the surrounding joints.
Tight glutes can lead to a range of dysfunctions such as back pain, hamstring tightness, sciatic pain, ITB pain + more.

 

Perform the following exercises to relieve muscular tightness.
